STUDIO ICA

Hi, I'm Federica and I'm a multidisciplinary designer based in Milan. My work is focusing on creating wallpapers, site-specific murals and designing furnishing accessories both for private and public spaces. My abstract organic style is inspired mainly by nature and by feelings, I love to play with fluid shapes and delicate color palettes. If you need any customisation please feel free to contact me, weather you'd need an extension of the design or a modification in the color palette, I'd be happy to meet your needs. I lived for 13 years in Berlin, experience that enriched my cultural and artistic background. In that melting pot of cultures I've been breathing creativity coming from all over the world which influenced my stile and aesthetics. The name Ica comes from the nickname my family gave me when I was just a kid so it's full of that spontaneity, lightheartedness and curiosity that is still now present in my creative process. Instead Studio represents the professionality, project managing experience and reliability that comes from over 10 years of career. What fascinates me about painting for large scale is the visual and experiential impact that has on a place, no matter private or public. Seeing how the atmosphere changes, how the energy and the personality is enriched. I'm obsessed with colors and their transformative power and energy, for this reason I love to create color palettes specific for each project. Recently I started to experiment, giving three-dimensionality to some of my organic shapes transforming them not only into decorative wall sculptures but also into lamps perfectly inserted within the painting or as stand-alone objects. I like to push myself and my work alwas forward, moved by a non-stop curiosity and passion, therefore StudioIca is ever evolving.
